Each fiscal year child care providers who have written policies on file requiring payment for days their program is closed are eligible for 10 paid non-operational days by CDA. If more than ten (10) non-operational days are marked, CDA will only pay the first ten (10) days in chronological order, unless otherwise specified by provider.
Provider is responsible to clearly mark on the attendance record if payment is expected for a closure day (holiday or other reason) for both subsidized and non-subsidized families.
Providers who do not have their written policies on file with CDA will not be paid for closure days.
A CDA team member may reach out to you if any clarification is needed on your closure days for fiscal year July 1st, 2025 – June 30th, 2026. If you have updated your written policies or have not supplied them to CDA, please contact your Provider Specialist at (619) 427-4411 immediately to update your file. If you expect payment for holidays and provider vacation, please specify which days you will be requesting reimbursement from CDA.
The parent/caretaker is responsible for the reimbursement of non-operational days that exceed the maximum 10 allowable non-operational days per year and/or any days not reimbursed by the subsidized child care program. If you have any changes in your non-operational days once you have submitted your contractual terms, you must update your information with us PRIOR to the date of the non-operational day you are requesting reimbursement for. CDA will not adjust reimbursement for non-operational days retro-actively.
If you request a day on your attendance record that is not listed on your contractual terms/parent handbook, this day will not be reimbursable.
