May 1st is upon us and we are thankful that we are able to open the camp for leaseholders as scheduled!

That said, there are still government stipulations still in place.

According to the Ontario website under "Seasonal Campgrounds", we are able to allow those with a full season contract (leaseholders) on the property, or those in need of housing. This does not include family members outside of your immediate household, as per the gathering rules under the stay at home order. At this point we are only open to leaseholders and their immediate household as long as the stay at home order is in place.

The stay at home order goes on to say under "Multiple Residences" that you are allowed to travel to your secondary residence if:

i. the individual intends to be at the residence for less than 24 hours and is attending for one of the purposes set out in this Order, or
ii. the individual intends to reside at the residence for at least 14 days.

This stay at home order is in effect until May 19th and we need your help to follow the current restrictions.

Please Remember that your choices also have an impact on the entire camp. Our goal is to keep the camp open and avoid any fines for you, the leadership and the camp.

I know this isn't the opening anyone wanted, but hopefully this stay at home order will be lifted and we can move towards the ministry and programs we have planned for the 2021 summer season!

Looking forward to seeing you a camp!

May 1st we will have gate passes for each leaseholder available to pick up at the office between 9am – 4pm.  The gate pass will give you access to the campgrounds for the entire camp season. To purchase an extra pass for those in your immediate household will be $20. (After the stay at home order you may purchase passes for other family members or people who visit on a regular basis.)

Here is what we need from you to issue you a gate pass:

1.     The 2021 lease paid in full or a payment plan in place.
2.     Updated insurance form on file** please read the information on insurance**
3.     Updated contact information form
 download here if needed.

If you have handed in all the documents - THANK YOU! See you May 1st!

(If you don't have all the documents it doesn't mean you won't be allowed access to your property - it means you won't get a gate pass. We are asking everyone to stop at the office first on Saturday.)

If you desire to rent your cottage or trailer, after the current stay at home order is lifted, you will need to fill out the form attached.

In discussions with our insurance company they have clarified the type of insurance you need for your Braeside property.

Below are the two options you can choose from:

  1. Whether a cottage owner or a trailer owner, a copy of the owner’s primary personal Homeowners, Condo, or Tenants Package policy, showing a minimum $1,000,000 personal liability extension to include the owner’s seasonal residence (cottage or trailer) at the Braeside premises location.
