Thank you to all subscribers of the San Jose Speaker Series. We have appreciated your support and participation in the Series more than you can imagine.
As most of you have likely observed and inferred from our on stage comments, live attendance in the San Jose Civic Theater has not returned to levels we had hoped to see. It appears that the majority of subscribers prefer the Zoom option. As a result, we have decided to merge the San Jose Speaker Series into the Peninsula Speaker Series, hosted by our close associate, Jim Weil, who has also been a partner with us in the San Jose Speaker Series.
Jim has been running the Peninsula Speaker Series for many years and their programs are outstanding. During the upcoming 2023-2024 season, they will present seven great events including an evening with Dr. Anthony Fauci and former member of the House Liz Cheney.
With the Peninsula Speaker Series, you will have the option of purchasing in-theater seats, or simply an exclusive Zoom broadcast connection for every event. All of their events take place at the Center for the Performing Arts in San Mateo. We believe this is an option that will better meet the needs of San Jose subscribers and provide the same quality and diversity of speaker events we have presented in San Jose.
