Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our employees, our members, and the individuals we serve. Accordingly, we are adopting the policy below for all staff in order to safeguard the health of our employees, our members and the community at large.

Starting Monday, May 24, staff members will follow the below mask policy:

  • Fully vaccinated staff working in non-youth serving departments, with proof of vaccination, will no longer be required to wear masks. Non-vaccinated staff must continue to wear masks while at work.

  • Consistent with CDC guidelines, an employee is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the full series of their COVID-19 vaccination (e.g., 2 weeks after the second shot if the vaccine is a 2-shot series).

  • Staff working in any youth serving roles (camp, childcare, Center for Equity, before & after school, child watch, adventure center and youth sports) are required to wear a mask at all times while at work.

Click here to read the full employee mask policy, which includes how to provide proof of vaccination. Proof of vaccination is required before a staff member can not wear a mask at work. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your HR Specialist or Deanna Rose if you have any questions.
We will also be starting new mask policies for members on Monday, May 24:

  • Masks are optional if you are fully vaccinated.

  • Unvaccinated members 12+ must wear a mask.

  • Masks are required for children 2 to 11 due to their ineligibility for the vaccine.

  • We ask that you demonstrate the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility toward each other and our members as proof of vaccination status is not required for members.
We want to thank you in advance for your hard work in continuing to serve our community during this transition.
