This is Child Mind Institute’s yearly celebration of scientific achievement in child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, and developmental neuroscience. Dr. Mary Jane Rotheram-Borus, PhD, and her proteges will discuss when and why evidence-based interventions fail, and how disruptive technology can help.

Following the presentations, we will hold a roundtable with experts from the fields of digital technologies and international health that will address the concerns of parents, educators, and policymakers. We’ll answer the important question:

How does access to resources affect mental health?

When left untreated, mental health and learning disorders can affect a person’s life dramatically, from academic failure and unemployment, to substance abuse and incarceration. And yet many people fail to receive the support they need. The roundtable will delve into the factors that prevent people from getting care and discuss how we can overcome them.
