Ebola Concerns Lead to "Camp Reimagined 2026"

Our 3rd Annual Summer Camp will look different this year.

As Ebola cases continue to raise concerns in Uganda and neighboring Congo, we have made the difficult decision not to bring 226 children together for our annual camp. In addition, U.S. travel restrictions have prevented our missionary team from traveling to Uganda. While this was not the outcome we hoped for, the health and safety of our students, staff, volunteers, and communities must remain our highest priority.

Rather than cancel camp altogether, we are launching Camp Reimagined 2026!

During the upcoming school break, our staff will visit students in small groups that comply with Uganda's Ebola safety protocols. Each child will receive a camp t-shirt, food supplies for their family, and special treats to enjoy. For many of our families, this additional food support will be especially meaningful during a challenging season.

Students will also receive personalized mentorship materials, Bible-based encouragement, and fun camp activities to complete at home. Challenges such as helping a parent, serving a neighbor, or showing kindness in their community will allow campers to put their faith into action throughout the break.

When school resumes, we will celebrate their accomplishments, recognize outstanding campers, and share stories of how God worked through Camp at Home.

We are grateful for every donation already received toward camp. Those gifts, along with any additional donations, will be used to provide food, camp supplies, t-shirts, activities, and special experiences for all of the children in our program.



While Ebola has changed our plans, it has not changed our commitment to the children we serve. Thank you for helping us ensure that, even during uncertain times, our children experience encouragement, mentorship, practical support, and the love of Christ.
