Dear ACC Faculty,
Media Services is now Educational Technology Support
The Faculty & Instructional Support Specialists (FISS) located on each campus are now Educational Technologists and the team collectively has changed from Media Services to Educational Technology (EdTech) Support. These changes better align with the services that the team provides across the College, including:
- On-campus classroom A/V support,
- Technical support and faculty training on tools including Blackboard, Mediasite, VidGrid, Respondus, Adobe Creative Cloud, iPads, Softchalk, Google Suite (Google Doc, Calendar, Sites, etc), Padlet, Zoom+, and
- Web conferencing support for instructional classes.
Single Number for Educational Technology Support
Using one central phone number, you’ll quickly be connected to the first team member available for help with classroom A/V, checking out equipment, and teaching technology. Gone are the days of remembering phone numbers for each campus Media Services office.
Effective this morning, 512-223-0111 will allow faculty and staff to request support, regardless of location.
In addition, the AV documentation available in every classroom around the College as well as signage at the Faculty Resource Centers have also been updated to reflect the single phone number.
We hope that these changes provide more streamlined and expedited support for faculty and staff.
Thanks,
Matt
