Dear RASCW & SCWMLS Members,
As you have no doubt heard, today Governor Evers issued an Executive Order requiring all Wisconsin residents to stay at home in an effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Order begins at 9am on Wednesday, March 25 and is scheduled to last until April 24, 2020. The Wisconsin REALTORS Association has been working with the Governor’s office to ensure that real estate-related activities are specifically allowed to continue while the Executive Order is in effect.
The Executive Order provides that among the essential businesses and operations permitted
are professional services (page 13), which includes real estate services, including appraisal, home inspection, and title services. It does however specify that services shall, to the greatest extent possible, use technology to avoid meeting in person.
Be advised the Executive Order contains guidance requiring the continued observance of the previously ordered preventive measures such as social distancing, hand washing and disinfecting.
- Maintain a social distance of 6 feet between people;
- No gatherings of 10 or more people;
- Avoid social gatherings with people of all ages (including play dates and sleepovers, parties, large family dinners, visitors in your home, non-essential workers in your house);
- Frequent and thorough hand washing with soap and water;
- Covering coughs and sneezes;
- Avoiding touching your face; and
- Staying home.
RASCW will continue to monitor the impact of the spread of COVID-19 on our region and the real estate industry. We know you have questions and we will attempt to address those in the days ahead. Collectively we are stronger by working through these unique circumstances to support each other, our industry and our communities because
That’s Who We “R”.
Sincerely,
Cindy Ulsrud, 2020 RASCW President
Devery Cash, 2020 SCWMLS President
