Dear Friends,
I hope this finds you and your families healthy and safe.
In partnership with our Board of Trustees, the 2021 event co-chairs, and our event committee, the Foundation has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Community Leadership Reception, as the health and safety of our community is our number one priority. We continue to assess the ever-changing nature of the pandemic, and with the recent guidance set forth by the CDC, we could not, in good conscience, hold an event of this magnitude without considering the potential effect it could have on our region.
Our corporate community has been there for the Foundation for MetroWest and the entire region in so many ways, as we all continue navigating the COVID-19 pandemic together. At this year’s Community Leadership Reception, we planned to honor Middlesex Savings Bank, a vital partner to the community; Robert Vigoda, the inaugural inductee to our Distinguished Advisor Society, and to celebrate our entire corporate community for their unwavering commitment to philanthropy during these times.
Despite canceling the event, our role of taking care of the MetroWest community, and our most vulnerable neighbors in need, is not going away. We have been here as a partner and a resource for MetroWest for more than 26 years, and we will continue our efforts to help MetroWest reunite, recover, and rebuild from the devastation of the pandemic – for as long as it takes.
We can do this important work because of your support.
Many of you have asked us how you can help. Please consider making a gift to the ONEmetrowest Fund to support our work. Our special events are an important way we raise funds to take care of our community, and not having them does have an impact on us financially.
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to a time when we can safely come together in person.
Sincerely,
