IRON TOUR UPDATE

 Dear Friends,

The full parking lot at the nature preserve and the sight of families and friends enjoying parks, preserves and trails in unprecedented numbers throughout the region remind us that our open spaces are a critical part of our health and well-being.

With your help, we will continue to “preserve forever” critical natural areas throughout northern Chester County and look forward to resuming our programs and activities throughout the year.

The Iron Tour Committee continues to monitor local, regional and national information on the coronavirus and will make a decision on Iron Tour 2020 by May 1. We appreciate your patience as we evaluate the news daily and work to decide if we can provide a fun and meaningful experience that is safe for our volunteers, participants, rider support, the public, and staff.

The Iron Tour provides 15% of our operating funds, enough to complete two land preservation projects each year.

“IF” we are not able to offer the full Iron Tour or a similar experience, we hope that you will consider converting your registration to a donation. This will allow French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust to continue to do the critical work to preserve, steward and connect people to the land in northern Chester County and ensure that the Iron Tour may live on in future years.

Like you, we are doing our best to keep up with the latest information and also keep our wits about us. Speaking of wits… What do you get if you cross a bicycle with a flower? Answer: Bicycle petals!

We will communicate updates via email, the website at www.irontour.org , and on Facebook. In the meantime, stay safe, take care, and know we are doing our best to maintain momentum on all of our active preservation projects and to plan a safe and successful Iron Tour 2020.
Thank You to Our Partners & Sponsors!
