Village of Palmetto Bay
The Village of Palmetto Bay wishes to make a statement regarding the Coral Reef Park Farmers Market. For several months, the Village has attempted to work with the Farmer’s Market as the Operator dealt with an internal partner dispute. The Village has determined that the situation has become untenable and has elected to terminate its concession agreement for the operation of the Coral Reef Park Farmer’s Market, effective January 14, 2026, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
This decision was made after careful review and is being executed as a termination for convenience, as permitted under the agreement. The Village’s action is not a reflection on the quality or popularity of the Farmer’s Market, but rather a determination that at this time, it is in the Village’s best interest to conclude the current contractual relationship.
The Village will initiate a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) process to select a new vendor to operate the Farmer’s Market. Updates regarding the RFP and future market operations will be shared with the community as information becomes available.
The Village is committed to ensuring an orderly transition and appreciates the vendors and residents who have supported the market over the years.
