Dear Shoreline Camps Family,

It is with deep regret that I share we have cancelled your camper’s program for this summer. For ninety-five years we have placed the safety of our campers and staff at the forefront of all we do. That priority for physical and emotional safety is one of the fundamental reasons our programs are so effective and why we have become so trusted by generations of families. Each camper we serve is a sacred trust…

Effective today, we have cancelled all of our dates for Shoreline Camps this summer. We have determined that the variability of conditions and accessibility of our remote programs presents a challenge for Covid-19 exposure mitigation and, ultimately, unacceptable risk for our campers and staff. Please know that this decision comes after a great deal of research, exploration of other options, and prayerful consideration.

Of course, you are entitled to a full refund of any fees you’ve paid thus far. And I know that some of you may be concerned about the financial impact of losing the summer on Shoreline Camps and the rest of our camping ministries. Please complete this form to let us know if you’d like your fees refunded in full, or if you’d like to make a partial or full donation of those fees to help Shoreline Camps and North Georgia Camp and Retreat Ministries through this unprecedented time.

You will receive a second email following this one that addresses the broader actions we’re taking concerning this summer’s programming, how we’ll be moving forward, and implications for all of our family of camping ministries.

We’re sincerely sorry to disappoint you in this way and hope you’ll be willing to join, and conditions will allow us to offer a full Shoreline Camps schedule next summer.

With deepest apologies and regret,

Stephanie Gaines
Director of Shoreline
