Centered directly under the cross in our Sanctuary is a mosaic of flowers, plants, and produce forming a backdrop for the ancient symbols of God’s grace, the bread of offering, and the chalice of abundant life.
Yet, the message of the Bounty Table is far more than a prosperous harvest or the serene beauty of nature. For the Christian, the Bounty Table is an invitation. An invitation to consider the many blessings that God has bestowed in each life and in each community of faith. As we look upon our Bounty Table, what blessings do we celebrate? Perhaps the greatest blessing from God is one of relationship. A relationship with God made possible through Jesus Christ. A relationship that restores, nurtures, guides, and comforts us both individually and collectively as we walk our very human journeys. As we look upon the Bounty Table may we see its profound beauty as an enduring symbol of God’s love and grace.
