We wanted to make you aware of some new changes to district facility rental; New Online Reservation System, Facility Rental Management, and Fee Schedule Review and Adjustments.

All of our Facility Rental requests are now being handled through Event Manager. Detailed instructions and help is available on the district website. The previous paper/pdf application will no longer be accepted.

In an effort to provide a better service and facility rental experience, we now have a team of folks that can assist you and will be overseeing facility rental at all 30 district campuses.

As we began reviewing all of the district facility use processes and fee schedule, we discovered that it had been more than ten years since we had an increase in fees. While we appreciate this may have had positive impact on our clients, the district was not recovering hard costs. In a time where budgets are tight, we need to ensure that we don’t negatively impact the main purpose of the district, which is educating children. The fee schedule review and changes also now include a fee for our grass fields. While we understand that the fields may not be as good as the City of Renton or other area fields, we are working towards providing a better product but need to ensure we can remain fiscally responsible in order to do that.

If you were a renter of the Renton Memorial Stadium, you will notice an increase to align with the size and quality of the facility, especially with the new turf and track recently installed. We have also adjusted some of the amenities to be included where you may have been charged separately for their use previously.

Another important change that has been added to facility rental, when making a reservation there will be a booking fee for each request. What this means, each individual request will incur this fee, however, you may make a single request for multiple dates and locations and still only be charged a single fee. Also, of important note, for each change request, a change fee may be assessed.

We anticipate that you may have comments, questions, or concerns. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us, we are happy to assist and answer your questions. We encourage you to get your organization and online account setup so you are ready to make your event requests once facility rental resumes.
