Attainment News

Postsecondary Attainment Coalition

Did you know that Arizona has a Postsecondary Attainment Coalition (PAC) doing strategic planning and implementation around  academics, postsecondary entry, postsecondary persistence and success, and attainment?

This dynamic group is composed of key stakeholders, just like you, who are dedicated to being an active player in the work needed to improve Arizona postsecondary outcomes. If you are interested in learning more about becoming an active member of the PAC or learning more about the commitment to serving on one of the PAC subcommittee, please complete this brief interest form.

Arizona's Attainment Goal

Arizona has the ambitious goal to reach 60% education attainment by 2030. Reaching this goal will mean that 60% of the state’s working-age adults (ages 25-64) will have a certificate, license, or degree - contributing to greater economic and individual prosperity, reduced social spending, and a more vibrant state economy for all Arizonans.

In early 2023, after comprehensive listening sessions across the state, the shared AZ 60 Action Plan was published offering the articulation of the actions that matter most for improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes in ways that meaningfully contribute to progress toward the Achieve60AZ goal

With approximately five years remaining and much work to be done, leaders in K12, higher education, college access organizations, governmental agencies, and business/industry must come together to define the framework and actions necessary to meet this critical goal so that Arizona can prosper.
