The Early Intervention Central Intake Bulletin

eNewsletter for Early Intervention providers

December 2025

Season's greetings!

We're looking forward to another calendar year of collaboration and partnership with providers across the state. As always, thank you for all the work you do to provide high-quality Early Intervention (EI) services to Ohio families.

Help Me Grow Community Resource Directories

A how-to video and user guide for navigating the Help Me Grow Community Resource Directories are now available on the directories landing page.

The directories are a comprehensive catalog of providers and resources for pregnant individuals and families with young children through age 5 in Ohio, along with the early childhood professionals who serve them.

Our directories are carefully curated, researched, and updated regularly, making them a trusted resource for communities statewide.

Outreach and Awareness

Outreach staff completed 2,089 activities in the first quarter of SFY26, including attendance at 218 local, regional, and statewide events, and 417 meetings and/or presentations to educate professionals on the benefits of Help Me Grow services and how to refer. Outreach specialists have been collaborating with local EI providers on our Physician Folders campaign, educating pediatricians and family physicians about referring to Help Me Grow and the diagnoses that make a child automatically eligible for EI. The outreach team has so far visited more than 250 medical providers around the state. This campaign will continue into the new year.

Sandbox AR Exhibit Updates

The Children's Museum of Cleveland (CMC) loved having Help Me Grow's traveling augmented reality (AR) sandbox exhibit earlier this fall!

"We get compliments from guests daily, with some guests even making plans to visit again before the exhibit leaves! It has been a huge hit...I highly recommend this exhibit to any museum serving young children!"

-Shannon Post, Visitor Services Director at
The Children's Museum of Cleveland

The exhibit offers play opportunities with new technology for kids and information about developmental milestones and Help Me Grow services for parents and caregivers. Exhibit visitors can scan a QR code to enter a giveaway for a one-year membership for a family of four at the hosting museum ($150 value). The winner must complete an ASQ screening via the Sparkler app within the giveaway period.

Shannon Suhodolsky and her 4-year-old son Grant (pictured above), won the CMC membership last month! Shannon needed to complete an ASQ for the South Euclid/Lyndhurst Schools preschool Grant attends, and the Sparkler app made it easy! She even recommended it to the preschool staff.

The Mighty Museum in Chillicothe is the second location to host the exhibit. It is available for play on the first floor of The Mighty (just inside the entry) through early January.

Help Me Grow is giving away another one-year membership for a family of four. Entrants must:

  • Be an Ohio resident.
  • Complete at least one ASQ:3 or ASQ:SE-2 developmental screening with their child, through age 5, via the Sparkler: Play for Parenting app.
  • Submit an entry form on our website.

Click the button below for more details and to access the entry form. The entry deadline is January 2, 2025.

If you know of a museum that would be interested in hosting the exhibit, send us an email so we can contact them.
