congratsCongratulating our graduates

Faculties across Queen's are recognizing and celebrating their graduates and in Arts and Science we will also be recognizing the graduating class of 2021 with congratulations and celebratory messages from across the faculty posted to, and linked from, our website as of noon on Thursday, June 10. The timing is part of the sequencing of faculty acknowledgements, recognitions, or celebrations across the university, and is also connected to the posting of the full list of FAS graduates on the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) webpage, scheduled to be completed sometime on Thursday, June 10. A link will be provided to the list from our website as soon as it is published.

We want to include your messages too. On Thursday, June 10 when our Class of 2021 Recognition page is posted we encourage you to send your congratulations to your peers, classmates, and students or to post a photo on our Class of 2021 Congrats page. We will send the link to you via email on Thursday, June 10 as the FAS web page goes live.

roomsJoin 17 Rooms at Queen's

The 17 Rooms event at Queen's is a fast-paced, brainstorming workshop and approach to generating awareness of and action on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is designed to bring together people interested in making a difference into 17 small groups, each tasked with generating ideas and knowledge to make progress towards a particular SDG. For Queen's first 17 Rooms event will be hosted virtually through Zoom with staff, faculty and students joining together to create ideas and discuss how to advance the SDGs at Queen's.

The goal is to generate excitement and awareness of the SDGs, increase collaboration and ultimately find new ways to make a global impact across the university. It's exciting, energizing and will help create synergy in our explorations of the SDGs at Queen's.

Registration is open and we still have space for participants.  The event's success depends on participation from a diverse group of staff, faculty and students who can lend their knowledge and expertise to one of the 17 Rooms in the half-day scheduled for Monday, June 21.

Registration deadline is Thursday, June 10.
