Dear friends of The CARE Center,
As the school year begins, there’s a lot happening at The CARE Center, with many opportunities to support local families, prepare students for the future, and make a lasting impact in our community.
We're continuing our efforts to sustain the New Hope Community Learning Center (NHCLC) following the loss of critical funding this year. As the only after-school program available in the area, NHCLC provides a vital resource for local children and families. We’re excited to announce that TARA Pools has generously offered to match up to $50,000 raised, helping us work toward our goal of keeping this important program available to the students who depend on it! You can contribute toward our goal below.
On September 26 from 10 AM–1 PM, we’re looking forward to welcoming students and families to Don’t Fret, Just Prep! at The CARE Center Ministry Building. This free event is all about helping students prepare for life after graduation, with information and resources on financial aid, college decisions, classes, employment opportunities, and more. View more information below and sign up!
Looking ahead to October, registration is officially open for the Gregg Berens Memorial “I Golf Because I Care” Fundraising Tournament on October 16 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Hampton Cove. As The CARE Center’s one and only fundraising event of the year, the tournament is an incredible opportunity to enjoy a great day of golf while directly supporting the work happening throughout our community. Please mark your calendars and help us spread the word!
One final reminder: Applications are still open for the 2026–2027 Bags of Blessings program, which provides essential weekend food support to qualifying students attending NHES, NHHS, and OCRS. Families must apply each new school year, even if they have received support through the program in the past.
Whether you participate in a program, attend an event, make a contribution, or simply help us spread the word, we’re grateful to have you alongside us as we continue serving families across southeastern Madison County.
Blessings,
