A big note of thanks goes out to the
City of Cuyahoga Falls
for generously allowing us to be the non-profit sponsor of the week at their Downtown Falls Friday, Stars & Stripes event on July 6th. Staff and volunteers spent the evening pouring beer, interacting with the community, and raising funds to benefit our programming. The event was a huge success, raising over $7,000! We are so very grateful for the opportunity!

What a beautiful day - so many smiles! Special thanks to everyone who helped make our
18th Annual K.N.A.F.F. Picnic
another great success. The picnic, a partnership between Victim Assistance Program, the
Fraternal Order of Police Akron Lodge #7,
and the
Akron Police Department
,
was a fun afternoon for children and local law enforcement.
The afternoon was in honor of Officer George R. Knaff, killed in the line of duty on November 5, 1994. Officer Knaff had a special place in his heart for the kids he interacted with on his beat. The picnic was funded in part by The Millennium Fund for Children of the Akron Community Foundation.
