If you think you saw wild animals over the past few days clinging to trees and hiding in bushes by front porches from Lake Worth Beach to West Palm, your sanity is intact. The little bit of community fun started in College Park a week ago as a diversion on the College Park Neighborhood Association’s Facebook page. Dozens of residents responded overnight by placing stuffed animals in strategic spots in
their yards.
The instructions on social media included a creative social-distancing reminder: “We want everyone to have fun and stay safe, so please do not disturb the animals in their habitat. Remain on the sidewalk to keep a safe distance from the animals.”
Some really wild ideas tend to bubble up when people are confined to their homes.
Stay safe!
