Dear VCS Community,   VCS is excited to welcome back our K-12 students for full-time in-person instruction for the 2021-22 school year on Thursday, August 12. The health and safety of our Valley Christian Schools community continues to be our top priority. Please review the information below in preparation for the new school year! 100% Full In-Person Learning All students and adults will wear facial masks when indoors on campus. Facial Masks are optional in outdoor settings. All students and adults will eat outdoors. Meal options will no longer be limited to single-use items and packaged meals. Faculty breakrooms will be used for food storage/preparation only,

VCS will continue to require the daily use of our health screening app Meet Darcy and encourage those that are ill to stay home. VCS has suspended the use of the Darcy Check-In stations at this time. In the event community health conditions warrant extra safety measures, we may reinstate the use of the Darcy Check-In system for all. Employees and students are still required to complete an illness, contact or case report for each occurrence. Testing of unvaccinated or undeclared employees and students will occur regularly throughout the school year. Valley Christian Schools will continue to provide free on-site testing to our community for screening and diagnostic purposes. The state and county health departments are encouraging COVID-19 vaccinations for all individuals ages 12 and up. Click here for more information regarding local vaccination sites. Please fill out this survey if you are interested in VCS providing an on-campus mobile vaccine clinic for our community. Campuses are open to employees, students and essential personnel only. VCS will continue to limit parents, nonessential visitors, volunteers, and activities involving external groups or organizations. Approved visitors must check-in with a VCS representative for health screening procedures prior to entering our facilities. Transportation and shuttles will return to normal operation. Masks must be worn on all shuttles and home to school routes.

The VCS Conservatory community eagerly anticipates the return of live performances this fall. Extra-Curricular classes, clubs, enrichment and high risk courses (e.g.,singing, wind instruments) are encouraged to meet outdoors. These activities may meet indoors following the updated mask guidelines. More information will emerge over the next few weeks (e.g., new guidance related to athletics, performing arts--e.g.., singing and the use of wind instruments--is "forthcoming"). We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more. Athletics is preparing for a full return to athletic opportunities during the 2021-22 school year and eagerly anticipate the resumption of all the essential athletic traditions and opportunities for our students.  More information will emerge over the next few weeks (e.g., new guidance related to athletics is forthcoming"). We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more. The program applications launched in July for high school and will be available in August for elementary and junior high. We look forward to partnering with the entire VCS community to inspire and prepare the next generation of Christian STEM innovators. BEI programs will meet in person in the 2021-22 school year. In addition to the in-person component, all high school BEI programs require additional collaborative work outside of in-person meeting times. BEI Junior High and elementary programs will be in-person only. We are excited to engage with our students to develop their entrepreneurial mindsets!
