Bainbridge Senior Living is partnering with Bainbridge Prepares and Bainbridge Community Pharmacy to hold onsite vaccination clinics for our residents this coming Saturday, January 9th.
While we have been optimistic that our partnership with Walgreen’s to set up vaccination clinics would be fruitful, the vaccine was released for emergency use authorization approximately 4 weeks ago and to date we have no indication from Walgreen’s regarding possible dates for our vaccination schedule. I received a blanket email this past Monday apologizing for the delay and stating that Walgreen’s would be focusing their efforts first on skilled care facilities (we are classified as assisted living).
Since our residents are among the highest risk population on Bainbridge Island and we have no clear understanding of when our number may be called, we have decided to work with our local resources to expedite the vaccination process.
The main change for all of us will be the paperwork. Bainbridge Prepares has the consent/registration set up online and it is quick and easy. Please be on the lookout for my next email as I will be sending out the registration link and detailed instructions in the next few hours.
