Dr. O.D. Butler Memorial Scholarship Applications are due at

5:00pm, Friday, March 31, 2023


Candidates must be 4-H or FFA members that are high school seniors who will graduate in spring 2023. They must be enrolled or accepted to a Texas College, University or Trade School but are not limited to a specific major. The profit from the Annual Forage Field Day, as well as money donated specifically for scholarships, is used to fund these scholarships.

Texas 4-H Horse Validation for 2023 is Open in 4-H Online



  • March 1 – April 15, 2023 - Cost is $10 per horse.
  • April 16 – May 1, 2023 - Cost is $15 per horse.



All Horses Showing at District or State Horse Show must be Validated.

WCF Bucket Calf Entries for Exhibitors and Mentors Applications are due April 3, 2023


The Bucket Calf Program at the Washington County Fair was started to give youth the opportunity to learn about the basic care and responsibility of raising and caring for livestock. This program is open to youth (ages 4 - 8) in Washington County. Participants are matched with a mentor and participate in project meetings and a Progress Show.

County Council Officer Applications due April 10, 2023


Applications are due to the Extension office by 5:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2023, applications can be picked up at the Extension Office or downloaded online.

 

Interviews will be on Monday, April 24, 2023.
