CECCS COMMUNITY HEALTH

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Safety announced that respiratory viruses, including Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), flu, and COVID-19 are spreading across Colorado and the nation. Protect your loved ones, the community, and our health care system by:

• Staying home when you are sick
• Washing your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with soap and water
• Covering your nose and moth with a tissue or upper arm sleeve
• Seeing your healthcare provider when you have respiratory symptoms and getting information regarding vaccines.

When a community gives together lives are changed for the better.

CECCS Student Council is hosting a Winter Clothing Drive FOR CECCS families in need from our own community. Please help us get started by donating New or gently used and clean winter clothing are encouraged. (Coats, vests, hats, gloves) If you are able to share the gift of comfort we would be most grateful! A donation box is available by the front office of the high school.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

We want to spotlight our students who are doing amazing things, but most of them will not share this information with us, so we need your support. Please brag about your student so we can share how amazing they are. Please share something we may not know about your student. Ex. He made Eagle Scout, she is the Jr Olympics state champ in archery, he remodeled a ’67 Corvette, she just got her pilot license etc.

TEXTBOOK REIMBURSEMENT

DEADLINE 12/3

Students who purchased or rented textbooks for the Fall 2022 semester and want to submit a receipt for reimbursement, must complete the required reimbursement form by December 3rd

REIMBURSEMENT FORMS HERE

• All reimbursed textbooks (except rentals) must be turned into the CECCS bookstore between 12/11-12/14.
• All textbooks borrowed from the CECCS lending library may be returned to the new bookstore location in the CECCS Network Office, located on the north side of the high school campus across from the courtyard. (pictured below)

NEW ELECTIVE COURSES FOR SPRING!

CECCS has brand new college prep course offerings at the high school to expand our arts department and support health and wellness. Please message your advisor via TEAMS ASAP if you would like to consider one of these courses for your Spring 2023 schedule.

• Music Performance Hall: Students who have prior music backgrounds, such as instrumentalists and vocalists, can become enriched in a course dedicated to helping enhance students' individual musical talents. Students will be able to prepare solo and ensemble material that will be prepared for an end of semester recital.
• Music Appreciation: Students will study music from the beginning of Music History through the Modern Era. They will be introduced to different musical styles and genres from cultures across the world. They will also be able to study composers and instruments, counting uncommon and unusual instruments found throughout history.
• Summit Fitness: Students engage in a myriad of outdoor sports as well as lifetime fitness activities including an indoor exercise &weight training program.

ACADEMIC ADVISING

SPRING 2023 COURSE REGISTRATION & SCHEDULE INFORMATION

ANY High School students who did not meet with their advisor during the assigned grade level windows must contact their advisor BEFORE December 9th

to schedule Spring 2023 classes.

• SPRING SCHEDULES WILL BE VIEWABLE IN INFINITE CAMPUS BEGINNING DECEMBER 7th.
• Modifications will be made as needed after final fall grades have been posted.
• FINAL SPRING SCHEDULES WILL BE VIEWABLE IN INFINTE CAMPUS JANUARY TH.
• Paper copies of schedules will NOT be distributed, so students must login to their Infinite Campus portals to access their course schedules.

NOTE: Students who do not meet with advisors will have a college prep only schedule built for them based on graduation requirements and remaining course availability without the option of changing courses, so please make it a priority to connect and plan your future classes.

The end of the semester is a very busy time.

Message your advisor through TEAMS or stop by to schedule an appointment.

SALUD COMUNITARIA CECCS

El Departamento de Salud Pública y Seguridad de Colorado anunció que los virus respiratorios, incluido el virus respiratorio sincitial (RSV), la gripe y el COVID-19, se están propagando por todo Colorado y el país. Proteja a sus seres queridos, la comunidad y nuestro sistema de atención médica al:

• Quedarse en casa cuando está enfermo
• Lavarse las manos con frecuencia durante al menos 20 segundos con agua y jabón.
• Cubrirse la nariz y la polilla con un pañuelo desechable o con una manga en la parte superior del brazo
• Ver a su proveedor de atención médica cuando tenga síntomas respiratorios y obtener información sobre las vacunas.

El Consejo Estudiantil de CECCS está organizando nuestra colecta de ropa de invierno. Se recomienda llevar ropa de invierno nueva o ligeramente usada y limpia. (Abrigos, chalecos, gorros, guantes) Si puede compartir el regalo de la comodidad, ¡estaríamos muy agradecidos! Una caja de donaciones está disponible en la oficina principal de la escuela secundaria.

ESTUDIANTE DESTACADO

Queremos destacar a nuestros estudiantes que están haciendo cosas increíbles, pero la mayoría de ellos no compartirán esta información con nosotros, por lo que necesitamos su apoyo. Presume de tu estudiante para que podamos compartir lo increíbles que son. Por favor comparta algo que quizás no sepamos sobre su estudiante. Ex. Hizo Eagle Scout, ella es la campeona estatal de tiro con arco de los Juegos Olímpicos Junior, remodeló un Corvette '67, acaba de obtener su licencia de piloto, etc.

¡NUEVOS CURSOS OPTATIVOS PARA LA PRIMAVERA!

CECCS ofrecerá algunas opciones nuevas de cursos electivos de preparación para la universidad en la escuela secundaria para expandir nuestro departamento de artes y apoyar la salud y el bienestar. Envíe un mensaje a su asesor si desea considerar uno de estos cursos para su horario de primavera de 2023.

• Salón de espectáculos musicales: Los estudiantes que tienen antecedentes musicales previos, como instrumentistas y vocalistas, pueden enriquecerse en un curso dedicado a ayudar a mejorar los talentos musicales individuales de los estudiantes. Los estudiantes podrán preparar material para solistas y conjuntos que se preparará para un recital de fin de semestre.

• Apreciación Musical:Los estudiantes estudiarán música desde el comienzo de la Historia de la Música hasta la Era Moderna. Se les presentarán diferentes estilos y géneros musicales de culturas de todo el mundo. También podrán estudiar compositores e instrumentos, contando instrumentos poco comunes e inusuales encontrados a lo largo de la historia.

 CUALQUIER estudiante de secundaria que no se reunió con su asesor durante las ventanas de nivel de grado asignadas debe comunicarse con su asesor ANTES del 9 de diciembre para programar las clases de primavera de 2023.

• LOS HORARIOS DE PRIMAVERA SE PODRAN VER EN INFINITE CAMPUS A PARTIR DEL 7 DE DICIEMBRE.
• Se harán modificaciones según sea necesario después de que se hayan publicado las calificaciones finales de otoño.
• LOS HORARIOS FINALES DE PRIMAVERA SE PUEDEN VER EN INFINTE CAMPUS EL DE ENERO.
• NO se distribuirán copias impresas de los horarios, por lo que los estudiantes deben iniciar sesión en sus portales de Infinite Campus para acceder a los horarios de sus cursos.

NOTA: Los estudiantes que no se reúnan con asesores tendrán un horario de preparación para la universidad solo creado para ellos en función de los requisitos de graduación y la disponibilidad restante del curso sin la opción de cambiar de curso, así que haga que sea una prioridad conectarse y planificar sus clases futuras.

El final del semestre es un momento muy ocupado.
