Annual Plan

For the annual plan, your consortium is required to fill out the text boxes in NOVA and list the consortium objectives. (They are the same objectives that we have used the last few years). On the side of the template, you can click to navigate through the various objectives.

Once the annual plan is completed and approved by Aug. 15 , consortium members can go into NOVA and create their work plan and budgets. The work plans will be based on the objectives listed in the annual plan. You do not have to select all of the objectives. You only need to check off the objectives from the annual plan your consortium will be working on during the 19-20 year.

Once the work plan is done, then your members will create their 19-20 budget based on their CAEP total allocation (including any carry-over for the year).  Member work plans and budgets are due by Sept. 30.

If you need a refresher on submitting your annual plan in NOVA, register for the Aug. 9 webinar, titled Annual Plan Submission & More . CAEP's Neil Kelly and Veronica Parker will walk you through the process.

For districts, please remember your CAEP indirect is limited, as follows:

Effective July 1, 2018, Section 84913 of the Education Code is amended to read:

For purposes of this paragraph, "indirect costs" means either of the following: (i) For consortium members that are school districts and county offices of
education, the lesser of the member's prior year indirect cost rate, as approved by the department, or no more than five percent of the total funding received from the program. (ii) For community college consortium members, the lesser of the member's prior year negotiated indirect cost rate or no more than five percent of the total funding received from the program.

Reads CAEP Summit 2019 The Future is Now
The CAEP Summit 2019 at the Hyatt Orange County is around the corner! To prepare for this exciting event, CAEP TAP would like to register everyone sooner rather than later. By now, all consortium leads have received their allotted number of registration PINs and instructions on how to register. Please either use the PINs or return them to CAEP TAP. There is a growing wait list of consortia requesting additional PINs. In August, CAEP TAP will begin to re-distribute unused PINs.

Visit the CAEP Summit 2019 website for information related to registration, hotel accommodations, discounted Disneyland tickets and more. Register for the summit and book your hotel room today as space is limited for both!

All consortium leads will receive an invitation to register soon. CAEP TAP is finalizing plans for a hotel room block code for those who wish to stay in Sacramento overnight.
