Important decisions related to District 50
Dear ,

We hope that you all are safe and sound.

The District Executive Committee met today and some of the important things that were discussed are outlined below. This meeting was called after the Toastmasters International Board of Directors met on March 14. The directives were sent to the Senior 3 in an email. Click here to read the email.

Spring Conference

This is again subject to the guidelines received from the local government/city councils/CDC. In case we have to cancel the in-person event on June 12-13, District 50 will conduct a Virtual Conference. More updates would be forthcoming on

Speech Contests

TI has asked the Districts to decide if they want to continue to host their Speech Contests. District 50 will continue to hold its Speech Contests . Below is the preliminary schedule

Remaining Area Contests - April 8-16, 2020

Precautions : For detailed information about the Coronavirus, including prevention and treatment suggestions, please see the CDC website. Additionally, there are many preventative measures you can take to keep yourself healthy. These include:

  • Avoiding close contact with sick people.
  • Covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Washing your hands often with soap and water, or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap is not available.
  • Avoiding touching your face, eyes, and mouth to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Staying home if you become sick to avoid infecting others.
