‼️Important information about H.R.1

from Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA)

ODHS Updates:

  • New SNAP/OHP work or activity rules comparison tool. This shows the differences between the work or activity rules for SNAP vs the rules for OHP.
  • A new joint OHA/ODHS HR1 website is live for partners to find information and resources about HR1.
  • Linked on that page is the OHP toolkit page that has OHP fact sheets, example notices, and video, social cards, and newsletter content for partners to share.
  • Reminder: Public Charge rule update goes into effect Sept 18th. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (U.S. DHS) issued a final rule changing how public charge determinations are made in some immigration cases.  The public charge requirements do not apply to everyone. Many immigrants are exempt because of their immigration status and do not have to worry about the public charge determination. Because immigration laws are complex, people should understand how the rule applies to their specific immigration status before deciding whether to apply for or use benefits.
  • The next Forward together Oregon webinar is on Sept. 22nd from 10-11am. Join OHA and ODHS to receive updates about Federal Changes impacting Oregon. Register here

OHA Updates:

OEP: About Oregon Health Plan Work or Activity Rules
OEP: How to Meet Work or Activity Rules for OHP
OEP: Acerca de las reglas de trabajo o actividades para el Plan de Salud de Oregon (OHP)
OEP: ¿Cómo puedo cumplir con las reglas de trabajo o actividades de OHP?
