Services for students with disabilities
The Disability Support Services Office provides accommodations to students with many different conditions including those affecting learning, mobility, vision, hearing, and mental health. DSS services include extended testing time, assistance with note-taking, rides on campus, counseling, ASL, and many more. Technology needs
Make sure you have the right technology before the term begins! You can borrow a calculator, headphones, webcam, Chromebook, or wifi hotspot through our technology loan program.

Photo I.D. cards - DVC Connect Card
To get a student I.D. card (DVC Connect Card), all you need is your DVC ID number, proof of registration for the current term, and official photo identification (such as a California driver's license). There is no charge for black and white I.D. cards. Color photo I.D. cards are available for a fee in the Student Union Building only. For more information, visit DVC Connect Card.

ASDVC discount sticker
An ASDVC discount sticker is available for purchase at the Student Life Office, Bookstore, or DVC Cashier's Office for $10 per term. The benefits of the ASDVC sticker include a five percent (5%) discount on textbooks and other items from the DVC Book Center, free admission to DVC athletic events, and discounts from many off-campus businesses (list available in the Student Life Office at the Pleasant Hill Campus).

Financial assistance
Free tuition program
Are you a first-time college student? You may qualify for two years of free tuition under the First-time + Full-time = Free Tuition (FT3) program. Learn more at www.dvc.edu/ft3.
Emergency grants are available
Emergency grants of $1000 are available to students enrolled for fall! If you are enrolled and have any emergency expenses related to COVID-19 or your cost of attendance, you can submit a request for financial assistance. Learn more at COVID-19 Emergency Grants.
Apply for financial aid
Are you enrolled in courses for the fall? You may qualify for financial aid (grants, fee waivers, student loans, etc.) to help you pay for your classes. Make sure you complete your 2021-22 financial aid applications to be considered. For more information, visit DVC Financial Aid.
Are you eligible for the CalEITC?
California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) and the Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC) are state tax credits for working Californians. If you qualify, you can impact your family’s health and success. Text EITC to 47177 or visit California Earned Income Tax Credit to find out.
SparkPoint
Do you need financial coaching? SparkPoint Contra Costa-DVC is here to assist you! SparkPoint offers individualized services that will help you to increase your income, manage credit, and build assets. All services are free to students. EOPS is accepting new students for fall
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is accepting applications for new students. Eligible students receive money to purchase textbooks from the DVC bookstore, the earliest priority registration date for future terms, UC/CSU application fee waivers, free school supplies, and more! Fresh Success
Fresh Success is currently accepting students for the fall term. Fresh Success focuses on helping you meet your educational goals by understanding your needs and offering a wide range of support.
Support includes:
- individual coaching and support,
- textbook and supply assistance, and
- monthly allowance of remote learning expenses.
To be eligible, you must reside in Contra Costa County; be enrolled in at least one CE, ESL, or basic skills course; be enrolled in or eligible for CalFresh, but NOT enrolled in CalWORKS.

PUMA STEM Scholars Project
Could you use a three-year scholarship of up to $4300 dollars each year? After DVC, do you intend to transfer as a science, math, or engineering major? Do you still need to take General Chemistry I and Precalculus? If the answer to all of those questions is Yes, the PUMA STEM Scholars project could be great for you!
