Let's help feed our neighbors who are hungry this year
Hunger is a year-round problem for thousands of Contra Costa residents, but the holiday season is often when people donate to charities and the less fortunate, feeling the holiday spirit.

The Food Bank serves more than 120,000 people in Contra Costa County on a regular basis.

Every year, Contra Costa County employees participate in an annual   Holiday "Food Fight Challenge", a good-hearted competition among county departments to raise money for the food bank. We also compete against Solano County employees to see which county can raise more money for the food bank.  Friends, family, and community members join in this drive, which has raised roughly $1.25 million dollars since it started in 2002.

You can join the effort by making a contribution to the food bank at this time.

It's easy.  Simply go to this special link , and follow the instructions. For more information contact the Food Bank at 1-885-309-3663, or by email at

Helping the hungry truly takes a community effort. Many thanks for giving whatever you can.

Seasons Greetings,
