Oh, what a night!

VCNP was well represented at the Virginia Nurses Association annual Gala on September 9. Congratulations to our members, Dr. Morgan McDowell and Cassie Sheffey, who were recognized as VNA’s Top 40 Under 40 members.

Also that evening, VCNP’s NP doctoral scholarship winners were announced. Congratulations to Lynchburg Region member Katie Page, CNM, FACNM, and Peninsula Region member Tonya Vermette, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, NEA-BC.

"I am thankful for the support from VCNP and the APRN community to continue to advocate for access to care by APRNs and midwives and the integration of advanced practice clinicians into healthcare systems across the Commonwealth." – Katie Page, CNM, FACNM

“Being awarded the DNP scholarship is a substantial resource towards obtaining my DNP degree, which is a transformative step towards enhancing my practice capabilities, improving patient outcomes, and contributing to the advancement of the nursing profession. Through the acquisition of advanced clinical skills, leadership and management expertise, and research proficiency, I will be equipped to offer exceptional care, advocate for patients, and remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice while actively contributing to VCNP's visions.”
