“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” – Albert Einstein

As part of its early NP Week activities, Fredericksburg Region members collected $2,000 to support the Health Wagon and its work with patients impacted by Hurricane Helene. Members also collected supplies that will be delivered later this month.

You are incredible! This fall, our members have proven that you are truly “partners for a healthier tomorrow.” Many of our regions have supported a variety of community needs and events – and I know many others are planning activities in the coming weeks.

As we look ahead to NP Week, which will be celebrated November 10-16, I hope you’ll join me in sharing the amazing work of NPs in our communities. Whether you are supporting a local non-profit, volunteering in a free clinic, providing hurricane relief, representing our nation, being honored at work, or completing a professional degree or certification, please share your accomplishments with VCNP! We know about the fantastic contributions of NPs; now it’s time to share with others!

Northern Virginia Region members checked blood pressure readings and shared information about healthy lifestyles at the Fairfax Fall Festival.

Richmond Region members participated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk.

Apply for PMHNP scholarship

“Earning my PMHNP would not have been possible without a scholarship from the Virginia Health Care Foundation. I am using my advanced training as a PMHNP to affect measurable change in my rural diabetic population.” - Dana Stallings, DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, CDCES, BC-DM

The Virginia Health Care Foundation offers scholarships for NPs working to become psych NPs. The next deadline is Nov. 15.
