Our thoughts are with VCNP’s members, colleagues and residents in Southwest Va. who were impacted by last week’s devastating floods. The United Way of Southwest Virginia is currently accepting donations for flood relief efforts. I’m sure residents will have other needs including healthcare in the coming weeks. Change to psych-mental health patient care teams
As of July 1, a physician can serve as a patient care team physician on a patient care team with up to 10 NPs licensed in the category of psychiatric-mental health NP. The bill retains, in all other cases, the existing provision that a physician may serve as a patient care team physician on a patient care team with no more than six NPs.
