I always look forward to November and NP Week, which will be recognized this year November 12-18. I’m especially excited since Dr. Loretta Ford will be honored as part of this year’s Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday, November 11. Dr. Ford, who will receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a White House ceremony earlier that day, will be honored as a WWII Army Air Corps Nurse Veteran on the 100^th anniversary of Women in the Military.

Many area NP programs and organizations including VCNP will be represented at the event. You will receive additional details about meeting location and a group photo opportunity closer to the event day. Please also share your photos with us to commemorate this special day.

Former Tidewater Region member Ann Bennett passed away on March 23, 2023. Ann served as VCNP’s president (1985-1987) and historian as well as Tidewater Region historian. We extend our sympathies to Ann’s family, friends and former colleagues.
