Members of the VCNP Lynchburg Region volunteered at Lynchburg Daily Bread last month.
Even with our busy lives, I’m amazed at how so many of you make time to give back to your communities! April is National Volunteer Month, and we want to showcase our incredible NP volunteers. Be sure to follow VCNP on social media (click links below) to read about how NPs are impacting the lives of others.

If you volunteer through work, in your community or with VCNP, we want to hear from you! Please send your name, credentials, a photo and 1-2 sentences about your volunteer work or why you volunteer to staff.

Thank you for all you do!

AANPCB expands recertification requirement options
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) updated its requirements for recertification by practice and CE, effective April 1. To qualify for recertification by practice and CE, a certificant must complete a minimum of 1,000 practice hours as an NP in the population-focus of their certification, within their five-year certification period. In addition to a direct patient care role, eligible practice hours can now include administrative, educational and research roles.
Looking for NPs - mental health, business owners & new grads
Do you work in mental health, do you own your own business, or are you graduating from an NP or DNP program this spring? If you’d like to be featured in future VCNP communications, please send your name, credentials, a photo and 1-2 sentences about why you chose your field or why you love what you do to staff.
Support our PAC
Thanks to your amazing donations, we raised $1,200 for VCNP’s PAC at conference.

These funds allow us to support candidates and legislators who support NP practice.

Sign up for monthly contributions of $5 or more, or make a one time donation, and watch our funds grow!

Remember, donate today for FPA!
