VCNP is the voice of Virginia’s NPs, and we’re continuing to advocate for you. Earlier this week, NPs from around Virginia met with legislators to ask for their support of legislation that enhances our practice.
-
HB 971 and HB 983 - Reduces the transition to practice requirement for NPs to two years and allows NPs with autonomous practice licensure to oversee patient care teams by changing "patient care team physician" to "patient care team provider”
-
SB 351 and HB 978 - Seeks to regulate Virginia’s APRNs solely under the Board of Nursing
If you’ve already contacted your legislators, thank you! Next week we’ll be sending additional requests for support through our Muster advocacy system. Even if you responded to our first request for support, we’ll need your help again. Keep watching your email, and thank you in advance for your quick response to those requests.
