HAGERSTOWN, MD (April 30, 2018) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) announces the commencement of a reconstruction and safety improvement project on  MD 845A (Main Street) between both intersections of MD 34 (Shepherdstown Pike) . The $4.8 million project is estimated to be completed by fall 2019. 

This project in Washington County will largely enhance and improve pedestrian access in the Town of Keedysville . There will be construction of ADA-compliant sidewalk and sidewalk ramps and installation of pedestrian lighting. MDOT SHA worked closely with the Town of Keedysville on the style of the street lighting to conform with the town’s character.
