Making Prescription Medication Labels
Easier to Understand
Join us for a workshop on patient-centered labels!
Calling pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians to attend:

Better Labels = Better Health: Improving Adherence and Understanding through Patient-Centered Labels

Attendees will learn how patient-centered labels can improve patient adherence, patients' ability to understand how to take their medicine, as well as increase patient satisfaction, safety, and health.

Attendees will also learn how health literacy impacts patient understanding, tips for modifying sigs to improve adherence effective for patients, and how pharmacies can join this project so they are on the leading edge of best pharmacy practices.

Date/time: September 6, 2019 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Location: Concordia University School of Pharmacy, PH 008, Mequon, WI

Registration ends : Sept. 1, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

Fee: $25 (free for students) with lunch included.

More Wisconsin pharmacies, clinics, and organizations have joined Wisconsin Health Literacy (WHL) and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) to redesign prescription labels so they are easier for patients to read and understand.

If you are interested in improving patient adherence, as well as in having more satisfied patients and in receiving fewer callbacks , then your pharmacy should join this project too! With support and guidance from WHL and using United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards, you can also have labels that are patient-centered.
