Amazing Raise
Ready for the Amazing Raise? This annual event is a 24-hour giving challenge that brings together the Tri-County (Montgomery, Northern Chester, Eastern Berks) region’s nonprofit community. The purpose of this challenge is to help raise much-needed, unrestricted funds, and shine a spotlight on the work nonprofits do to make the 422 corridor a better place to live and work!

This year's Amazing Raise will be on October 30. Stay tuned for more information!
Make a Difference Monday
On October 4, Laurel House will be participating in "Make a Difference Monday" with Backyard Beans!

Backyard Beans is a coffee roaster and cafe located in Lansdale and Ambler. On the first Monday of each month, Backyard Beans contributes 10% of their café sales to a local organization aligned with their mission and values. They selected Laurel House to be October's partner.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

This year's theme is #Every1KnowsSome1. Throughout October, Laurel House will be actively sharing resources on domestic violence and abuse, promoting activities for the community to show their support, and encouraging everyone to help us break the silence of domestic violence.

Virtual 5K DASH Against Domestic Violence
Laurel House's 5K DASH will be happening the weekend of October 15 - 17!

This year's virtual event means your pace, your place! Instead of medals this year, awards will be given to the Top Fundraising Individual, Top Fundraising Team, and the Largest Team.

Early bird registration ends soon! We are offering an early-bird registration fee to those who sign up before September 30. Starting October 1, registration will increase to $40. For those who register, we will be offering a virtual eight-week "Couch to 5K" training program. Click here to sign up today!

Webinars and Workshops
Calling all faith leaders! Save the Date! Join Laurel House, Moravian Seminary, and ACPE for a five session virtual workshop series: Healing the Healers: Domestic Violence.

This filmed series of peer-to-peer conversations shows faith leaders exploring how to provide better care and support for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. The first workshop will be on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. The others will take place on November 3, 2021, December 1, 2021, January 5, 2022, and February 2, 2022.

Laurel House Annual Gala
Save the Date! Laurel House will be holding its Annual Gala in-person on April 2, 2022, at Rivercrest Golf Club & Preserve in Phoenixville, PA. As Laurel House's largest fundraiser, the Gala promises to be a fabulous evening of dining and dancing along with the opportunity to participate in an exciting silent auction while learning more about the mission of Laurel House.

This year we will honor Beth Sturman, Executive Director of Laurel House, and Preston Elliott of the 93.3 WMMR’s Preston and Steve Show. We will also launch the Resilience Award, which will be given to a domestic violence survivor who is now thriving after having survived the horrific circumstances of domestic violence.

The proceeds from this event will support Laurel House’s programs for victims of domestic violence and their children.
