It is celebrated all over the world, in many countries and with diverse traditions. My family and I celebrate "El Dia De Los Reyes" by constructing a mini Nativity and walking the wise men along the path until their grand arrival.

Sweet Bread or Rosca De Reyes is a tradition I never pass up.

The Epiphany aka "Three Kings Day" is a Christian Holiday that for the Western Christian Church celebrates the revelation of GOD to the 3 Wise Men and their Star Guided journey to meet the newborn baby Jesus and celebrate his baptism.

They brought with them the most valuable gifts to show their reverence.

Here are a few modern day thoughts.

GOLD - Still worth its weight. As our dollar continues to devalue, don't we all wish we had some gold. Even though Gold no longer backs the US Dollar (bad move), it is a precious "Royal" Metal that will not vanish into thin air. It's considered a store of value and hedge against inflation during disastrous economic times as the last 2-3 years have been for many. BTW, that is not investment advice.

FRANKINCENSE - The King of Essential Oils considered in ancient biblical times as one of the most prized possessions. One of my favorite and most utilized for its innumerable health properties including cellular health and immunity. Immune Resilience is a perpetual need.

MYRRH - The oil comes from gummy resin of the Commiphora Myrrha Tree used as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent and at times valued at its weight in gold. Rarely mentioned is its ability to stop bleeding. Antihemorrhagic, now that is worth its weight in Gold. As the maladies continue to arise, I consider it one of my prized possessions.
