Teen Program Partners with The Academy for Success
Girls Inc. is partnering with The Academy for Success to provide school-based comprehensive programming to high school teen girls.

The collaboration is part of an effort by Girls Inc. to broaden its impact by reaching more teen girls throughout the community “where they are”, outside of its service capacity at the Goleta Valley Teen Center. Outcomes focus on Girls Inc.’s STRONG and BOLD programs, which support The Academy’s ultimate goal to graduate productive and responsible citizens with a comprehensive life plan.
Recreational Gymnastics Keeps Youth Active
Girls Inc. offers daily recreational classes for youth ages 3+.

Safely set up outdoors, we provide a fun way to exercise while developing basic to advanced gymnastics skills and knowledge.

Try a preschool, boys tumbling, or developmental gymnastics class at either of our fun outdoor locations, downtown Santa Barbara and Goleta.

Questions? Call our Gym at (805) 963-4757 or contact us.
We Are Accepting Volunteers!
We are thrilled to announce our popular volunteer program is safely re-opening!

Current volunteer needs include supporting staff, providing academic assistance and learning support, and helping youth with their homework.

The commitment is one day per week, working in-person with Girls Inc. youth at the Goleta Center, from 3:45-5:00pm.

We adhere to the CDC guidelines for safe school operations, and we are masked, distanced, and we use a daily health-intake screening process for staff and girls.

Girls Inc. Advocates for American Rescue Plan
Afterschool and Summer Learning Support
Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara was one of more than 250 organizations representing 46 states that signed-on to a letter by the Afterschool Alliance to Leader Schumer and Chairwoman Murray supporting the inclusion of funding in the American Rescue Plan (ARP) for learning recovery and afterschool and summer learning programs.

The American Rescue Plan provides $121.975B for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). Funds will go to state education agencies (SEAs) and local education agencies (LEAs) specifically for learning recovery; afterschool, summer, and expanded learning programs.

These changes should ensure that all afterschool and summer learning providers, including community based organizations, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, local government (park and recreation departments and libraries), and other youth development organizations have access to much needed funding and support at the state level and opportunities for partnerships with schools at the local level.
March 10th marked the 108th anniversary of Harriet Tubman's death. Born into slavery, she helped rescue 70 enslaved people. During the Civil War, she worked as a spy for the Union. We are honored to recognize Harriet Tubman, her work and her bravery. She remains a true inspiration to women everywhere.
