TK - 6TH
Facilitated by Autumn, our 4th-6th graders learned about how activism can be represented through art. They were shown different examples and then they were able to create their own artwork. Each youth chose a topic that they are passionate about and created canvas collages to practice activism through art. They used magazines, paint, markers, and 3-D materials to create their artwork.

TEENS
Our teen programs at Goleta Valley Junior High and Santa Barbara Junior High have been partnering with A-Z cooking once a week, with each site having their own chef. The teens have learned how to use a food processor, hold knives, cutting techniques, how to handle vegetables and so much more. Additionally, this class brings our teens together in community. Before they eat, they thank one another and begin to pass around their dish to be served. During their mealtime, the teens socialize, share their opinions, and have an endless amount of laughter.

Purchasing an item off this list will send it directly to our center and into the hands of our facilitators to put it to good use. | | | | | |
