SMART: Girls Shoot for the Stars!
In April, girls and teens who participated in the College Bound and College Road Trip classes learned about pursuing higher education and what it will take to purse their academic dreams.

They researched public and private universities across the country, different tuition rates, scholarship opportunities, admissions processes and acceptance rates, athletics, clubs and more! The future college grads took away valuable information to help them plan their educational paths.
Emergency Operations Update
Our staff is busy moving forward with disaster preparedness. Girls Inc. has revised its emergency operations plan and is now putting into place the pieces to support the plan (ex: creating "Go-Bags" for each classroom and training on search & rescue and disaster medical techniques.) Coming later this summer: Girls Inc. will begin testing its new mass notification system, which will allow for simultaneous notification (text/call/email) of parents and other stakeholders in the case of an emergency.
