Praises and Prayer Requests

Greetings!
I am deeply moved to share with my experience of not only caddying for Zach Johnson but also being paired with Tim Tebow, Coach Urban Meyer and Mike Glenn of Fedex. Within 5 minutes of meeting Zach he asked me when did In His Grip get started and I told him the catalyst was in 1997 when I came across the little IHG Book in Cedar Rapids....Zach's hometown. As I shared with him that I had come home from the 97 Masters from a mountain top experience to my wife of 2 years to tell me she could no longer stay in our marriage he was blown away. He asked me what happened? I shared with him that during the next 6 months I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and that Leslie also came to Christ. He then asked how did the marriage work out....he was pumped to hear that we just celebrated 16 years of marriage he gave me a fist bump with tears welling up. It was a crazy way to start our journey together. We also found out that morning that we were paired with Tim Tebow and knew that the Lord had orchestrated a VERY special day for us. As Zach and I were walking down the first fairway, Zach introduced me to Tim and he then asked...."What's In His Grip?" I boldly told him that our mission is to introduce men to Jesus Christ through the game of golf and I received my second fist bump....all before we approached the first green. We serve an awesome God and ALL things truly are possible. Zach told me his testimony, very powerful and as we walked off the 18th green, he stopped and said, "Scott, I have been dying to show you this ball marker." It had trust on one side and Proverbs 3:5 on the other side with "Trust in the Lord" and come to find out it is both of our life verses. Crazy!!!

PRAISES
I am sure that you can only imagine of how we can praise the Lord for the time strolling the fairways with Zach this week. It was deeply moving. I also want to thank Jeff Anderson for taking the awesome photos as he did a great job in capturing the journey. You can see them on my facebook page by clicking the link below. The Lord has opened the door for me to share my testimony at Sherwood Baptist Church this Sunday night. They have also asked me to be a part of their golf tournament on Monday which will be an incredible privilege and honor.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for wisdom and discernment in all the decisions made here at In His Grip Golf. Pray for the Lord's favor to fall fresh on us each and every day and that His Name would be highly exalted. Please continue to pray for an In His Grip office space as we layout an expansion plan to reach men for Jesus Christ. Please pray that the Lord speaks through me this Sunday as I share my testimony at Sherwood Baptist Church. Pray for travel mercies. Pray for my time at First Baptist Church on Tue and Wed. Also, pray for our In His Grip Invitational next Saturday with Crosspoint Church at Limestone Springs Golf Club.
