As we approach Memorial Day, please join me in honoring and remembering those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Without them, we would not be here today! We would also like to thank all of those who have served or are currently serving our nation, including one of our faithful volunteers, Terry Richmond.
I was recently reading the parable of the Lost Sheep found in Luke 15:1-7 and thought about what our volunteers do each and every day. Our volunteers often leave the comfort of their day-to-day lives to pour into our students. I can't tell you the number of times I hear our students say how important our volunteers are in their life change process.
When a volunteer leaves their daily comfort zone and starts caring for our students, it means the world to them. They have often gone through life, seeking to feel valued and loved. They finally find it at H.I.M. through our staff and volunteers. That's when Hope starts to creep into their lives, and change starts to take place. I love to hear how volunteering also impacts those who volunteer. Terry (below) leaves his comfort zone to pour into our students who are seeking life change! Thank you to Terry and all of our volunteers at H.I.M.!
Until all the lost sheep are found,
