IN LOVING MEMORY: BISHOP DAVID AGUILAR (1958-2018)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2Timothy 4:7-8

The General Board of Directors informs you with sadness in our heart that our Lord Jesus has called into his presence our esteemed brother David Aguilar, Bishop Supervisor of the South Central California District, at the age of 60.
Brother David Aguilar especially distinguished himself as Bishop Supervisor for three years in spite of the constant health battles he faced. He served honorably as pastor in the church of Earlimart, California for 20 years.
He was born March 17, 1958, in Woodburn Oregon. He was the son of Pastor Florencio and sister Elvira Aguilar. The Aguilar family later moved to California's San Joaquín Valley where brother Florencio Aguilar served as Pastor for twenty-four years, in the church of Earlimart, CA, the church that later Bishop David Aguilar would shepherd.
He was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ on March 21, 1971, after being filled with the Holy Spirit on December 2, 1970. He was initiated into the ministry on July 6, 1976, and ordained two years later, on July 8, 1978. He was appointed pastor of Earlimart, California in 1998, and also served as District Secretary.
Bishop David Aguilar (March 17,1958-June 27, 2018) served as ninth bishop supervisor (2015-2018) of the South Central California District of the Apostolic Assembly. He was a great lover of Apostolic hymnody, and highly knowledgeable in it as well.
We ask your prayers for his wife Elizabeth, and his children, Idelia, Maricela, Aimee, and Florencio, and his two granddaughters. Bishop David Aguilar is survived by his mother Elvira, and his brother Joe, Florencio, Obed, Gill, and Becky. Let us pray for the Apostolic Assembly in Earlimart and the South Central California District. Soon we shall inform you of the funeral services.

La Mesa Directiva General les informa con tristeza en nuestro corazón, que nuestro Señor Jesús llamó a su presencia a nuestro estimado hermano David Aguilar, Obispo Supervisor del Distrito Sur Central de California, a la edad de 60 años.
El hermano David Aguilar se distinguió especialmente como Obispo Supervisor por tres años a pesar de una constante lucha con enfermedades. Y también se destacó como pastor de la iglesia en Earlimart, California por 20 años.
Nació el 17 de marzo de 1958 en Woodburn, Oregon. Fue hijo del Pastor Florencio y la hermana Elvira Aguilar. La familia Aguilar se estableció posteriormente en el Valle de San Joaquín, en California, donde el hermano Florencio Aguilar sirvió como pastor por veinticuatro años, en la iglesia de Earlimart, CA, la cual eventualmente recibiría como pastor, el Obispo David Aguilar.
Fue bautizado en el nombre de Jesucristo el día 21 de marzo de 1971, después de haber sido lleno del Espíritu Santo un 2 de diciembre de 1970. Fue iniciado al ministerio el 6 de julio de 1976, y ordenado dos años después, el 8 de julio de 1978. El fue nombrado pastor de Earlimart, California en 1998, y sirvió como Secretario de Distrito.
El Obispo David Aguilar (17 de marzo, 1958 - 27 de junio, 2018) sirvió como el noveno obispo supervisor (2015-2018) del distrito Sur Central de California de la Asamblea Apostólica y era un gran amante y conocedor de la himnología apostólica.

Al Obispo David Aguilar le sobreviven también su madre Elvira, y sus hermanos Joe, Florencio, Obed, Gill, y Becky.
