In Loving Memory of Mike McQuaid
Mike's wife, Molly, has a wonderful story that goes with this photo; about an Alaskan cruise and Mike wading into shallow water to catch a salmon. We share it with you as a remembrance of our friend and champion, Mike McQuaid. It is incredibly hard to believe it has been a whole year since we all lost Mike to COVID-19. Mike meant so much to so many people. We all miss his gentle spirit, sense of adventure, fun-loving nature and warm ways, smile, and unrelenting commitment to helping people in our community.
Mike had a fortune from a cookie that said: “Love is as necessary to human beings as food and shelter.” He walked this talk and inspired all of us to bring love and compassion to the clients and staff at the Human Services Campus.
On this one-year anniversary of his passing, it is with a combination of sadness, hope and determination that we think of Mike and recommit to his vision of ensuring that everyone has a home.
