Dr. Rachelle Scott, a long time SPD member, passed away on August 30 at the age of 71. Dr. Scott completed her undergraduate degree at Vassar College and medical school at New York Medical College. She went on to do a residency in Pediatrics at Columbia University, followed by a Dermatology residency at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Scott was the Pediatric Dermatologist for the division and later for the department, seeing both adults and children. She was a favorite of all her patients who would wait in the waiting room for hours to be treated. Because of her pleasant, calm demeanor and captivating personality she was loved by both patients and colleagues.
