On this sad occasion, the Pastor, Board of Trustees, and all the auxiliary bodies of St. Sarkis Church, extend their heartfelt sympathy to Sarkis's family members.
Sarkis Antranik Sarkissian was born on the 26th of June 1960, in Beruit, Lebanon. He was the son of Antranik and Valantin Sarkissian and the third sibling of four: Toros Sarkissian, Maida Injeyan, and Sebouh Sarkissian. In 1980, Sarkis made his journey to begin a new and fruitful life in the United States. Over his 64 years on this earth, he found a love for refereeing and coaching soccer and created his own tax business, truly living the American dream.
In 1998, Sarkis married the love of his life, Deana, and they were married for twenty-six years, creating a sweet and beautiful life. In 2000, they brought a beautiful baby girl into the world, Talene. Sarkis dedicated his life to giving his wife and daughter everything they could ever want and a safe and comfortable life. One thing that the family was passionate about doing together was going camping and creating everlasting memories, searching for new adventures.
Sarkis was a warm soul. He always found ways to help others without ever asking for anything in return. He looked out for everyone that he cared about, which showed how kind-hearted and loving he was. Sarkis found a love for singing in the church choir and created ever-lasting relationships in the process.
After being in remission for 6 years, Sarkis and his family received the devastating news that his Melanoma had metastasized to his brain, and after complications, he suffered irreversible damage. Despite the odds that were stacked against him, he fought as hard as he could, with all his might, until the very end. He went peacefully with his wife and his daughter by his side on October 8, 2024.
There will not be a day that goes by that Sarkis will not be missed and his memory will forever live on with us all.
