It is with deep sorrow that the community of

St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church

announces the passing of

YUGHAPER KZIRIAN

Age 101, who passed away on February 28, 2026

On this sad occasion, the Pastor, Board of Trustees, and all the auxiliary bodies of St. Sarkis Church, extend their heartfelt sympathy to Yughaper’s family members.

Yughaper was born in Kharpert, Armenia to the late Sarkis and Vartouhi Ghoushoian. She is preceded in death by her only sister Altoun.

Lovingly known as “Medzmama” and “Nene,” she enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, storytelling, and most of all spending time with her family. She treasured each moment and took immense pride in everyone’s lives and accomplishments.

Never one to sugarcoat or complain, you could always depend on Yughaper for her honesty, generosity, wisdom, resilience, and wit. Her hardworking attitude and will to push forward despite the struggles she faced inspired those around her to continuously push themselves to become better people.

These characteristics have shaped many generations, and her legacy will live on through those who survive her. Her family is so grateful for the century of memories, stories, and endless love she gave so generously. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
