We share with you the sad news that the Rev. Sherrin Marshall, a retired Elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference, died this past Monday, November 10, following an extended hospital stay.
Rev. Marshall faithfully served the church for many years. After a distinguished academic career specializing in the Reformation, she answered God’s call into ordained ministry, graduating from Wesley Theological Seminary in 1997. She served several congregations in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference before coming to the Baltimore-Washington Conference, where she pastored at Marley Station UMC and Pasadena UMC. She retired from active ministry in 2016.
Condolences can be addressed to her two children, Jesse Marshall and Joanna Hershberger, and to her devoted companion, Alan Mayer-Somer and can be sent to Severna Park UMC (731 Benfield Road Severna Park, MD 21146).
A service celebrating her life will be held this Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m. at Severna Park UMC.
